Barcelona’s goalkeeper is the main new addition to Luis de la Fuente’s squad.
Joan García, Barcelona’s goalkeeper, is the main new addition to the Spanish national team squad, which will face Serbia (March 27) and Egypt (March 31) in preparation matches for the 2026 World Cup. These matches were scheduled after the cancellation of the Finalíssima, which was to be played against Argentina during this international break .
Spanish national team coach Luis de la Fuente has called up the Barcelona goalkeeper for the first time, who has been one of the standout players for the Catalan team in his debut season. In addition, four goalkeepers were called up.
Ander Barrenetxea, Cristhian Mosquera, and Víctor Muñoz are the other names making their debut in the squad. Rodri Hernández and Carlos Soler are back in the squad compared to the previous list.
Dani Carvajal, Daniel Vivian, Marco Asensio and Robin Le Normand are left out of “La Roja’s” squad by choice, while Fabián Ruiz, Mikel Merino, Pablo Barrios, Nico Williams and Samu are out due to injury.
