Cherki puts Manchester City top of the Premier League provision….

A hard-fought victory in Nottingham (2-1), their sixth consecutive win in the Premier League , allows Manchester City to temporarily take the lead at the top of the league table, awaiting Arsenal’s result against Brighton on Saturday. 

Matheus Nunes, Rúben Dias and Bernardo Silva started for City, who finished the first half without a single shot on target, something that hadn’t happened in the English Premier League for a year.

Forest also lacked accuracy, it must be said, making the first half at the City Ground a pointless duel.
