Champions League: Benfica earns 53 million, far from the 2024/25..

Benfica will receive €53.1 million for participating in the Champions League. Having been eliminated by Real Madrid in the play-offs, the Eagles missed out on the €11 million prize , finishing below the amount earned in 2024/25 (€71.4 million), in a campaign that ended in the Round of 16.

Participation in the league phase accounted for 18.6 million. There was also 23.26 million from the pillar value, associated with the market volume of the respective country and the club’s coefficient in the UEFA 5- and 10-year ranking in the European (14.96 million) and non-European (8.3 million) parts, respectively.

Based on their performance in the league phase (three wins and five losses), Benfica earned €2.1 million per win, totaling €6.3 million. While finishing 24th meant receiving €3.92 million, reaching the play-offs allowed them to collect an additional €1 million.

The €53.1 million earned by Benfica in the Champions League is less than the €67 million already amassed by Sporting, who will compete in the Round of 16. If they reach the Quarter=finals, Sporting will earn at least another €12.5 million.
