Manchester United let two leads slip away to draw 2-2 away to Bournemouth in a Premier League match on matchday 31 , with Portuguese player Bruno Fernandes opening the scoring from the penalty spot, the same way Bournemouth sealed the result after Harry Maguire was sent off.

Manchester United now have 55 points in third place, but could see Aston Villa (51) close the gap, as well as Liverpool (49) and Chelsea (48). Bournemouth (who are on an 11-game unbeaten run) are 10th with 42 points, but are at the mercy of Fulham (41), Brighton (40) and Sunderland (40), and could also be equaled by Crystal Palace (39).
