Bruno Fernandes scores, Maguire is sent off and Man United draws

Manchester United let two leads slip away to draw 2-2 away to Bournemouth in a Premier League match on matchday 31 , with Portuguese player Bruno Fernandes opening the scoring from the penalty spot, the same way Bournemouth sealed the result after Harry Maguire was sent off.

After a goalless first half, in which Bruno Fernandes came close to scoring in the 35th minute = but Petrovic made a good save on the goal line = the deadlock was broken around the hour mark.In the 61st minute, Bruno Fernandes opened the scoring from the penalty spot, netting his eighth goal in 30 official matches for the club this season.

However, following a play in which Manchester United appealed for a penalty for a possible foul on Amad Diallo, Bournemouth launched an attack and Ryan Christie, with a well=placed shot = it even looked like a pass on goal = made it 1-1 in the 67th minute, beating Lammens.

Four minutes later, the visitors regained the lead, with Bruno Fernandes taking a corner from the left and Maguire heading in the ball for another advantage, although an own goal was awarded to Hill.

However, in the 78th minute, Maguire committed a foul on former FC Porto player Evanilson, resulting in a penalty, and received a straight red card, with Kroupi converting the 2-2 equalizer from the penalty spot.

Manchester United now have 55 points in third place, but could see Aston Villa (51) close the gap, as well as Liverpool (49) and Chelsea (48). Bournemouth (who are on an 11-game unbeaten run) are 10th with 42 points, but are at the mercy of Fulham (41), Brighton (40) and Sunderland (40), and could also be equaled by Crystal Palace (39).
