The Brazilian women’s team thrashed the Japanese team 6-1 in the quarter-finals, with Emilly scoring a hat-trick.

Brazil qualified for the semi-finals of the Women’s Futsal World Cup by defeating Japan 6-1 in the quarter-finals of the tournament, which is taking place in the Philippines. In the next round, the Canarinha will compete for a place in the final against Spain, who on Monday also beat Morocco 6-1.

The Brazilian team went into halftime with a 5-0 lead, thanks to goals scored by Emilly, who netted twice, Ana Luiza, Débora Vanin, and Luana Rodrigues. With four minutes remaining, Japan pulled one back through an own goal by Júlia, but Emilly would complete her hat-trick in the 39th minute, sealing the result.

In the semi-finals of the competition, Brazil, the current South American champion, will face Spain, the reigning European champion, in a match scheduled for next Friday (12:30 pm, Portuguese time).

In the remaining semi-final, the teams of Portugal and Argentina will face each other, starting at 10:00 AM next Friday.

The third and fourth place match is scheduled for Sunday (9:00 am), as well as the final of the Women’s Futsal World Cup (11:30 am).
