Atlético Madrid signs former teammate of André Silva and Martim …

In the final hours of the winter transfer window, Atlético de Madrid officially announced the signing of Rodrigo Mendoza from Elche. This followed a busy day of activity, with the signings of Ademola Lookman and Obed Vargas.

The Spanish under-21 international was a teammate of Portuguese players André Silva and Martim Neto, signing as a new ‘ rojiblanco’  player for five and a half seasons, until 2031.

Elche announced this as their biggest sale in history. According to the Spanish press, Atlético de Madrid will pay around 16 million euros for the 20=year=old midfielder, with Elche retaining a percentage of any future sale.
