Liverpool’s coach thanks supporters and also praises Konaté’s performance against Inter Milan.

Critics of Arne Slot had a bad night on Tuesday. In a game played with great pressure due to the club’s poor form, Liverpool won away against Inter Milan 1-0.

A late penalty goal by Dominik Szobozslai was enough to beat the Italian team at the Giuseppe Meazza stadium. They had only won once in their last five matches. With this victory, Arne Slot gains some breathing room in his role as manager.

“This means a lot to me, but as I said yesterday, the most important thing isn’t me. The fact that we have the support of the fans in these difficult situations means that we all fight for each other. That’s what the fans and players showed,” he stated.

The coach also praised the performance of the much-criticized Ibrahima Konaté, saying that he “doesn’t remember a single mistake” from the defender. Furthermore, he ended the discussion about Mohamed Salah this way: “Today we should only talk about the players who are here.”
