The Portuguese international player twice made his coach lose his temper when he was substituted.

Milan’s fight for the Italian title became more complicated this Sunday. Visiting the capital to face Lazio , the “rossoneri” suffered a defeat and are now eight points behind leaders Inter .

However, the turning point of the game occurred in the 66th minute. Rafael Leão was substituted and left the pitch clearly unhappy . He even pushed coach Massimiliano Allegri away twice. You can see this moment in the associated gallery .

At the end of the match, the Milan coach commented on what had happened, downplaying the Portuguese international’s attitude. According to the coach, Leão’s discontent stemmed from the fact that he had received little service from his teammates.

“I was a little nervous because there were situations where things could have been done better and they didn’t happen. There were two possible goal-scoring opportunities, and I got a little annoyed,” he began by saying in statements to DAZN.

The Italian said that these things happen in football, reinforcing his desire to beat the Portuguese player. Regarding the title race, Allegri stressed that there is still a long way to go in the championship.

“These things happen during a game, all the players really wanted to win because it would, first and foremost, increase the gap with those behind us. We have Como six points ahead and Juventus seven, if I’m not mistaken. The championship is still a long way off. We need to stay calm and improve on those situations where we weren’t so good, he concluded.
