Mourinho: “I am truly happy with the game”

Statements by José Mourinho, Benfica’s coach, in a press conference after the 0-2 victory against Farense in the round of 16 of the Portuguese Cup, played this Wednesday, December 17th, in Faro.

The players were very good. The team was very good. At halftime I said that the only thing I didn’t like was the result. Obviously, at only 1-0 the result is still open. But the team was very good, comparing this game with the match against Chaves or Atlético… it’s completely the opposite.

The team started well, seriously, scored, and wanted to keep scoring. We won all the defensive duels, we had total control of the game. When we scored the second goal, we entered a safe zone, but I always saw the team eager to be on the field.

The guys who have played less have been giving a very good response, those who have played more have been key. I’m truly happy with the game.
