Sergi Altimira is on Sporting’s list of midfielders being considered.

With Morten Hjulmand likely to leave next summer, Sporting is already working with a shortlist of names to try and make a move in the transfer market, and according to Maisfutebol , Sergi Altimira is among the main alternatives under consideration.

Considered one of Betis’ standout players this season, the Spanish midfielder fulfills several (tactical and technical) requirements that appeal to Sporting’s management, who, in turn, have yet to define their priority target.

Altimira, 24, has represented Sevilla for three seasons, having started his career in Barcelona’s youth academy and later making his professional debut at the modest CE Sabadell.

Hjulmand, it should be remembered, is on track to leave Alvalade at the end of this season, his third with the club. Sporting is working towards transferring the Danish captain in a deal worth between 40 and 50 million euros.
