Kylian Mbappe denies error in injury diagnosis: It’s not true

Two days after the revelation of an unbelievable error by Real Madrid’s medical department , Kylian Mbappé denies that they examined the wrong knee.

The Frenchman spoke at a press conference related to the French national team on Wednesday. The athlete denied the news reported by The Athletic.

The information that they examined the wrong knee is not true. I may be indirectly responsible for this situation, because when you don’t communicate your condition, it leaves room for all sorts of interpretations; everyone takes advantage of the situation, and that’s just how things are,” he lamented.

According to the aforementioned newspaper, after suffering a sprained left knee on December 7th, the Frenchman  played three more matches before the injury was properly identified .

With Real Madrid, we’ve always had very clear communication, whether it was when I started my rehabilitation in Madrid, or when I was in Paris, where I was accompanied by the club’s doctor, physiotherapist, and physical trainer. There’s no problem with that,” the forward assured.

The press conference was intended to preview the friendly match against Brazil, scheduled for 8:00 PM on Thursday.
