The full-back did not train on the pitch, despite the country’s football federation stating that all players are fit.
Amar Dedic was a noticeable absence from Bosnia-Herzegovina’s training session on Tuesday in the Balkan city of Butmir. The Benfica full=back was rested by the coach after suffering a minor knock in the previous day’s training session, according to the newspaper Sports=Sport.
For this reason, Sergej Barbarez did not include the player on the pitch, as shown in images released by the Football Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (NFSBIH).
However, the text accompanying the training images assures that “coach Sergej Barbarez once again has all the players called up at his disposal, just like yesterday, and they are all ready to play in the next game.”
Bosnia will face Wales in a semi=final match of the 2026 World Cup qualifying playoff on Thursday.
