Alex Telles opened the scoring in the victory against RB Bragantino.

Botafogo, with Martín Anselmi on their way, returned to winning ways in the Brasileirão. In their visit to RB Bragantino, the Rio de Janeiro team relied on a goal from a former FC Porto player to secure a victory ( 2-1 ).

Early in the match, the team of the former Dragons coach opened the scoring. Through a penalty kick, Alex Telles = also a former FC Porto player = took responsibility and put the “fire” ahead on the scoreboard (8m).

Shortly after, Lucas Barbosa, formerly of Santos, leveled the score again (15m). The forward received the ball inside the area and shot to make it 1-1.

In the final moments, Alexander Barboza, former River Plate defender, restored Botafogo’s lead (71m).

With this victory (2-1), Botafogo returns to winning ways after two games. Anselmi’s team moves into 15th position with six points. RB Bragantino, in turn, is in 12th place with eight points.
