Conceicao concedes draw against Al Fateh with a goal at

Al Ittihad, managed by Sérgio Conceição, could only manage a 2-2 draw away to Al Fateh, managed by José Gomes.

Looking to build on their victory against Al Okhdood, the visitors started with Danilo Pereira and Roger Fernandes and managed to take the lead midway through the first half. Al Shehri scored the goal, and Al Ittihad took this narrow advantage into the break.

The second half was more exciting, although the net only rippled in the 74th minute. Al Fateh, who started with Jorge Fernandes, equalized from the penalty spot thanks to a goal by Mourad Batna. 

On the other side, Al Ittihad also took advantage of a penalty to regain the lead, precisely with Al Shehri’s second goal. From then on, the visitors tried to hold onto the lead, but the wall crumbled nine minutes into the 90. 

With time and space to shoot, Matias Vargas fired from outside the box and scored a fantastic goal, securing a point for Al Fateh. José Gomes’ team is in ninth place (22 points) and is precisely nine points behind Al Ittihad, sixth in the Saudi League (31 points).
