Gonçalo Ramos leaves frustrated after PSG’s narrow victory.

The Portuguese forward did not hide his displeasure when he was substituted.

In the aftermath of their defeat in Lisbon against Sporting, Paris Saint-Germain licked their wounds in the French League with an away win against Auxerre. However, they had to work hard to secure the 1-0 victory.

Without the injured Nuno Mendes and João Neves, Luis Enrique placed Vitinha and Gonçalo Ramos in the starting eleven. The midfielder was team captain.

After much persistence (with PSG wasting chances coupled with saves from the opposing goalkeeper), Paris Saint=Germain finally scored in the 79th minute.

Barcola found himself one=on=one with the goalkeeper, shot towards him, but the ball still followed a trajectory towards the goal. He celebrated his seventh goal of the season.

Also noteworthy is Gonçalo Ramos’ frustration at the moment of the substitution, even before Barcola’s goal. Whether he was upset with himself, the coach, or an opponent, we don’t know.

PSG provisionally overtakes Lens and moves into first place with 45 points. Auxerre is 19th with 12 points, in the relegation zone.
