Bruno Fernandes and Dalot’s team can only reach 40 games until the end of the season, the lowest number in 111 years.

Manchester United’s current situation is far from positive, but after breaking several (negative) records last season, the club achieved something it hadn’t managed… since the First World War.

The defeat against Brighton and the consequent elimination from the FA Cup means that the  Red Devils  will only play 40 games in total this season, the lowest number since 1914/15, or in 111 years. In that season there were no FA Cup matches and the club ended up playing only 39 official games. It should be noted that Manchester United is in a period of transition following the departure of Ruben Amorim as head coach of the first team, and currently occupies seventh place in the English Premier League. In addition to their early exit from the FA Cup, they were also eliminated in the second round of the League Cup by Grimsby Town, a club that plays in the fourth tier of British football.
